Let’s Face It. Some Clients Just Don’t Fit!
I was riveted by one comment from a member of our Soul Millionaire ‘Tribe’.
At the conclusion of a monthly ‘Tribe’ meeting…
she raised some eyebrows, and caused a murmur.
Because she said…
“I feel so welcome here!
I can’t believe how kind people are to me.
And I love being surrounded by such amazing people travelling a similar journey.”
For us, it hasn’t been always so.
Like you… we’ve experienced client relationships that were grindingly hard work… draining… unpleasant.
Neither party finds joy in such a relationship!
Until there came a time when we said “Enough!”
We realised that we’re definitely NOT here to be INCLUSIVE or politically correct.
We’re here to provide a culture which attracts and supports the mind, heart and soul of a particular kind of individual.
To help that individual to soar to the heights of what’s possible in their humanity. In their enriching influence on the world.
The question you’re probably asking is…
“Yeah. But how do you do that?”
Well… here are my current thoughts.
We’re crystal clear about our Purpose here.
Why we passionately do what we do.
And what we Value… and hold most dear in the way we work.
I’m not going to spell that out here.
It’s in my books. In our website. In our webinars, podcasts and seminars.
But it has very little to do with “Making More and More”.
That’s not a Purpose in our world. That’s simply an Outcome!
We broadcast our Purpose-Centred message constantly.
So that those Personal Finance Professionals approaching us are in no doubt about what drives our passion at Soul Millionaire.
We allow potential clients to Experience our culture.
We do that by inviting them to one of our ‘Tribe’ meetings.
Or to a 1-2-1 conversation with me.
In both environments we provide a safe, compassionate space for them to relax into. For them to be open and honest about who they are. And what they really want.
We carefully listen and observe, to ensure an emotional alignment.
In these settings…
we remain fascinated by what drives each person. By their intentions.
We also strive to honour their story – often full of pain.
And we listen to understand what they’ve learned from that story.
Because our intention is to work with the whole of this glorious person!
Not just their business goals and objectives.
We make sure that we understand THEIR expectations.
Soul Millionaire services and our culture are NOT designed to help everyone!
So, we share our story, as honestly as we ask them to share theirs.
We also share where we’re heading with our work.
And we seek to understand if we’re in alignment.
We make sure that they understand OUR intentions
To only engage with ‘Tribe’ members prepared to change and develop and truly grow. (Those who are not Self-Satisfied… thinking “I already know all this!”)
To support those prepared to quieten a noisy ego… and then selflessly reach out and make a positive mark on this world.
Starting with their clients; and with their colleagues.
We let them see that money is not our driver here.
We leave them in no doubt that our driving force is to share a fresh perspective, thinking and behaviour pattern with the rest of the Financial Services Community.
We’re on a Mission! And we expect them to be part of that!
We carefully manage their early engagement with ‘The Tribe’
We want them to feel welcome… safe… honoured.
And we ensure that Tribe Members take the lead in generating that welcoming embrace.
Meanwhile… helping them to use the resources, tools, platforms, programmes that are part of our environment.
That – my friend – is how our processes and culture work together to make sure that…
ALL our clients feel that they are… ‘A Fit’.
And that here they’ll flourish, blossom and fulfil their own greatness.
Does this journey work perfectly?
No. Not yet.
But we’re getting better by the day.
